Latest Updates from Our Project:
Printers and Paperbacks, Oh My!

Hello everyone!
Hopefully you all are basking in the start of a fun, vibrant summer, and getting to enjoy some rest and relaxation time over long weekends, and maybe a vacation or two!
Here on our end, admittedly, things slowed down as some life situations cropped up on my end along with a number of work issues that required my full attention. But now, getting you all your beautiful books can go back to being my top priority!
So, here are some long awaited updates!
The original printers we had selected had not been great with communication and so in the interest of getting things moving, we have since gone with a new printer. What makes this an especially exciting and a good change, is that these wonderful printers are able to ship me the tip in sheets for me to sign straight to my home! This saves a lot of trickiness with shipping to and from the U.S from my house in Canada for the pages, and those pages will be shipped to me ASAP, which is a huge relief! Another great, fun fact about them, is that these printers have worked closely with the Sullivans on many of their own beautiful Kickstarter books, and so we know that the quality is worth drooling over!
The paperbacks from Podium have been delivered and stored with the Sullivans. Woot! Now all that needs to happen for those, is I obtain some lovely stickers to sign and have placed in the books and I send those off to the JMS warehouse. I'm looking to try and find some attractive ones, which I don't imagine will be a tricky thing to do/ find. I anticipate having that task completed before the tip in sheets arrive.
Friends, thank you for your patience! 2025 has held a great deal of unforeseen events, and I'm hoping here on out all we can expect are the good kind of surprises!
Take care of yourselves, drink your water, have a stretch, and I can't wait to post again with some good news in the near future!
Cheers!

Hi everyone!
Thank you all for sitting tight!
Things have been wildly busy on our end, but I am thrilled to announce the two winners of the Pet Name submissions.
The pets who have won are named:
Cole and Fitzgerald!
I will ask the two owners of the fluffy winners to please message me so that I may ask a few follow up questions. I want to make sure I have the right details down for when I include them in Kraken Tales!
Thank you so much everyone for your submissions, and I loved getting to read about your beloved fur babies.
Cheers, friends! Delemhach

Surveys going out!
– Sun, Mar 16, 2025 at 08:30:33 AM
Hey everyone! Well, the 2-week waiting period is over, so it's time to collect information from you for the Kickstarter! Please complete your survey by March 30th, especially if you have a pet. Why? Well you can add your pet into a drawing to be included in a future book written by Emilie. There will only be two winners, and we'll do the drawing on March 30th at 12:59 PM Eastern.
Shortly, you'll receive an email from my son's company (he's the one who will actucally be doing the shipping. Please check your spam folders for it:
Subject: Response Needed — Get your reward for The House Witch: A Humorous Romantic Fantasy
Keepin in mind this is how we get your address for shipping. And, if you are going to move, no worries, you can always get back to your survey using the same email link.
NOTE: If you have an applepaidID address you WILL NOT get your survey. To update your email send a message to [email protected] and he'll do a "manual push" so you can fill it out.
Below is a video that walks through the survey. If you have any questions this should help you out. And, as always you can make a comment below and either James or I will be back in touch with you.
See you in the updates!
Robin.
Thank you, next steps, and important information needed from some

Thanks again everyone for making this Kickstarter such a huge success. We didn't reach our last stretch goal, but now that I have quantities to work with, I'll get quotes from the printers and if the cost isn't too great, we might throw it in for free - but no promises on that.
Here is a run down of the next steps.
When the project ended, Kickstarter charged the cards and most of them went through.
There were 36 that failed, and I've sent emails to those people (sent from: [email protected] with a subject of "A problem with your Kickstarter payment."). 20 of them have already been corrected, but we still have 16 open items. So please your emails - or the redact list below -to see if you are one of the people who needs to address their pledge.
Kickstarter is also actively trying to reach people with failed cards, and they will continue to do so until this Friday. After then, any failed pledges will be dropped from the project, but if that happens to you - no worries, we can get you setup. We'll have more details based on if anyone falls into that category.
I've completed the setup for the surveys and the pre-order store, and I just need Emilie to submit it for approval. It will take a day or two for that to happen.
Kickstarter will officially transfer money to Emilie about 14 days after the project's end date, and that will signal the completion of their role (except for project updates) From there on, the BackerKit software (a tool we use to do fulfillment) will take over so you should be seeing important notices from them regarding your survey, changing your address, and so forth. They highly recommend not to send surveys until after that 14-day period, so we're in a holding pattern at present.
Once the money is transferred, we'll give you a heads-up so you can watch for your survey. You don’t need to create a BackerKit account to answer it. The invitation email contains a link to your personal portal. It is important to submit your responses as quickly as possible, because it means less people for us to "hunt down" for shipping address information.
If you need to change anything about your survey after you fill it out, you can always return to it. This will allow you to upgrade reward tiers, purchase add-on items, or update your shipping address, you can click the link in your survey email again or request your survey link under "Lost your survey?" on the BackerKit project page. (This page will only start working after we send the surveys out.
Emails that need updating
To get the survey, which gives us your shipping information, we must have a valid email address. Right now there are several people who have private apple pay ID's and they WILL NOT receiveve a survey so we WILL NOT be able to ship to you. These people include:
B. Roylston, C. Chi, C. Pletchan, C. Stephens, F. Montgomery, H. Odom, J. Hernandez, K. Facultad, K. Garcia, K. Mingus, M. Archer, N. Razek, R. Alotaibi
If you are one of these people, please send an email to [email protected] with the subject: "Email correction" In the subject of the email, include your full name, backer number, and the email address we should use.
Failed payments
Sometimes there is no rhyme or reason for a failed payment. It's just a matter of Kickstarter and your bank not "playing well together." If your payment isn't corrected by the cut-off date, we can arrange for payment through Emilie's Pay pal account. But it would be best to address payment problems before you are dropped because you won't see project updates as we proceed through the production process. Below are people who still need payment problems addressed.
A. Hintzen, D. Beckwith, E. Hughes, K. Reid, K. Willow, L. Simmons, M. Biscotti, M. Cater, M. Mejia, S. Leigh Eckhardt, S. Sands, Backer 337 (V***), Backer 405 (Dyn***ime), Backer 406 (Meg**), Backer 447 (*a*), Backer 558 - Ga*****la
Please check your credit card, or use another card and Kickstarter will retry your payment.
New backers!
We've already had ten people added to the project through the "Late Backer form." Once the pre-order store is approved, we'll switch over to that for adding new late backers.
Final results
The following information does not include data from the late backers, but this is where we ended up.
2nd most backed live fiction project - 534 backers
3rd most funded live fiction project $ 67,439 CAD (about $46,622 USD), that's 150% of our first Kickstarter for Hollow World (which earned $30,857).
516 packages will be sent out
You've bought 708 books (93 book #1, 480 Omnibuses, 135 trade paperbacks), and I suspect those numbers wil go up with people upgrading during their survey or other late backers joining in the fun.
Two new rewards!!
A few opportunities arose in the final days of the Kickstarter and that means you're eligible for two new rewards.
A chance to have your pet included in a future story! As part of the survey, there is a field for you to add your pet's name and type. We will randomly draw 2 names on April 15 (so please get your surveys in before then). The winners will find their pet in a future tale.
Your name in lights - after all, screens are backlit, right? The team at Campfire are going to add a supporter list since it was because of your support that Kraken's Guide to the House Witch was created. So if you want to be included, there is a field on the survey to input your name (or that of a loved one)
Regarding Signatures
Also one of the things the survey will collect from you is how you want your books signed. You can choose either "Emilie" or "delemhach" - and no they can't be personalized beyond that. Emile has 708 books to sign as it is and that will take quite some time so we need ot make it as easy on her as possible.
Tipping added
For those who pledged bonus support, I put your funds into a "tip jar" for Emilie, and i've also added this jar to the survey, so if you want to show some extra love for Emile consider putting a a contribution. Maybe she can get a "spa day" of a nice dinner out with her hubby.
That's it for now.
Well, that's all I can think of. We had a great afterparty call, and I want to thank all the people who came to it. A surprising high Virginia contingent - woot, woot! I'll see you in the updates - oh and please try to address your emails and payments in the next few days - it saves us a lot of time and energy "chasing people down" for this critical information.
